Thoughts: The Subang Jaya-based Nomad Malaysia, probably at it's present location for around 4 years now, is an option for "generally affordable" Shop-Lot type Co-Working Space in Klang Valley. But Malaysia's Co-Working Space concept has been around for at least 10+ years now in the country, and probably KL's first co-working space is "Paper + Toast Co-Working space) located in in Bukit Bintang's Farenheit Tower (opposite Pavilion), which opened 10 years ago in 2010.

There are probably around 40 Co-Working Spaces Operators in Malaysia with maybe over 130+ locations across the country. For example, a quick web search and found a few where some with multiple locations: COLONY (several locations with one in KLCC), CO-Labs (several locations with one in PJ Starling Mall), Komune (Bangsar), PAPER&TOAST (Bukit Bintang), Co.Bangsar, WORQ (several locations and one in Subang), WOTSO (KL Mercu Summer Suite), and WS Space (KL Mid Valley). There are also quite a few Shop-Lot or "smaller setup" like NETSpace (Damansara Utama SS21), H-Space (Kota Damasnara), SPACEBar (Setia Alam), HERSERLEF (Sri Petaling), COMMON Room (Bangi), Stray Folk Studio (TTDI), A Space To _ (PJ Seksyen 17), and today's Trial work-day in Nomad which is located in SS18. The price range for a Day Pass can be from rm$15 to rm$60/day!

"Nomad", the SS18 Co-Working space is at the upper floor of a SS18 Shop Lot, easy to find as it is just above "Le Food", ample MPSJ parking available along SS18/1B but there is also a small park somewhere along SS18/1 where "Free" parking is possible (within 5 minutes walking distance). A Coffee Kiosk called "HAVEN" which opens only Tuesday to Fridays, offering paid-coffee from rm$7-rm$12. But free flow Tea bags ,Coffee bags, and drinking water are available in the Pantry/Kitchen as well, but did not notice any snacks available today. Verdict on working for a day in SS18 Nomad especially the high-speed internet and quiet working environment.
Since it is a shop lot of maybe 22'-80', Nomad comes with 4 tables (6-8/table) with up-to 28 seating capacity (now CMCO maybe 12 only) for Day Pass and Monthly Shared Desk users; also another 4 tables of 12 seats total for Monthly Fixed Desk users. For Monthly paid-users, looks like a key is provided for access to the Co-Working space on weekends and therefore working earlier than 9am or beyond 6pm are possible with the last User to Lock-up the Shop. There is also an offer until December 2020 for 10 day Pass for rm$188, which also comes with a Free Daily "HAVEN" Coffee!
Those who take-up the Prepaid Fixed-Desk can also have a monthly maximum 6 hours use of the Private Meeting Room which comes with 6 chairs and a long table, equipped with Glass-type Writing Boards and a Projector; otherwise Rental of the Private Meeting Room is rm$300/day. Mr Tan (the owner) also mention a TV as an alternative to the projector will soon be installed in the Meeting Room.
Overall, the High-Speed WIFI connection was excellent for the day, the working conditions for today was super quiet with 4-5 customers for today (some Fixed Desk Users and others Day Pass Users). Toilet and Pantry are clean as well and ample wall-sockets available (at least 16 or may more) in the work area.

Co-Working spaces comes with different costs and therefore not all Co-working spaces are created Equal in terms of floor space size, comfort and amenities, some are own and manage by small business owners in a shop-lot layout and others are manage by corporates with floor spaces for not just working, but "playing", networking, and even dining!
