马来蒸饭配任当牛肉苏东 Nasi Kukus Rendang Daging + Sotong
rm$8.50 👍😋
印度奶茶 Teh Tarik rm$1.20 👍😋
Budget: MYR$10++
Cuisine: Nasi Lemak
Parking: MBPJ
Thoughts: This is probably one of the popular Nasi Lemak stalls in SS2 with a history of more than 40 years. Was here 7am, and many early birds were already waiting for the stall opening. When the stall operators signals is ready to serve, the queue starts to build up. I see the "Lauk" offered were curry & rendang chicken, sambal kerang, tofu, daging rendang, sotong; maybe 9 to 10 dishes. Whether take-away or eat-on-site, you get everything served in banana leaf paper wrap. As the operator scooped up the steaming hot rice from a huge wooden container, he will ask you what dishes you like. My breakfast was the rendang daging and sotong with a boiled egg and sambal, cost rm$8.50. The Teh Tark served by stall next to the Nasi Lemak stall wasn't too bad at all at rm$1.20.
I suggest to eat on-site, as dishes wouldn't have gone well with cold rice. I think its the steaming hot rice of Nasi Kukus that brings out the essence of this dish.
Parking is easy, just along the road in front of the Medan Selera as long as it is early in the morning, else at your own risk or proper MBPJ parkings around the shop areas.
