Thoughts: 旺记肉骨茶 Wang Ji (Bak Kut Teh) in Bukit Mertajam usually close on Friday but we were really Lucky today! The soup was abit mild in the beginning and the sweet herbally taste came into the picture after a few add-on soup! According the locals, the BKT here sold-out fast, so its better to come early. Too bad its not using charcoal but rather gas for heating up the BKT in the claypot, else it would probably even taste better. The final cut of the soup was quite herbally, not too salty, very nice at the end. At rm$18 for a small bowl, perhaps enough for 2 persons, it did came with generous portion of pork slices, some bean curd, pork balls, and pork innards as well as vegetables.
Nice, enjoyed my 2nd dinner course of the night!
