Thoughts: Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus (AGPG) is an 印尼料理 Indonesia cuisine which originates from 日惹 Jogjakarta, founded by a Mr Rido Nurul Adityawan (Pak Gembus) in October 2013 (Rido was at his early 30s when he open his first shop) and in a very short period, it achieved more than 700 franchise outlets across Indonesia (that is from selling a mere 3-4 chicken a day to more than 13,000 chicken a day). Rido's franchise business also expanded to 越南 Vietnam, 新加坡 Singapore, 馬來西亞 Malaysia, and even 新西蘭 New Zealand. AGPG Malaysia enter into Agreement with AGPG Indonesia whereby AGPG Malaysia hold the trademark and right to operate in Malaysia. According to its website, it has 48 outlets in Peninsular Malaysia with 33 in 雪蘭莪 Selangor and 吉隆坡 KL, and the rest in 森美蘭 Negeri Sembilan, 馬六甲 Melaka, 彭亨 Pahang, 霹靂 Perak, 吉蘭丹 Kelantan, and 登嘉樓 Terengganu.

The restaurant only offers their sole Signature Chicken "印尼烤椰絲炸雞 Ayam Bumbu" which is marinated with various herbs, deep-fried to golden brown (crispy but very dry) and then smashed, and served with home-made fresh and 特辣洋蔥參巴醬 very spicy sambal bawang. You can request Standard, Medium, and Super Spicy Sambal, but the Standard Sambal was already super spicy! The most basic choice (without beverage) is at rm$9.90 which comes with 白米飯 white rice plus one piece of their Signature 印尼烤椰絲炸雞 Ayam Bunbu (Fried Chicken leg), 豆腐卜 Taufu, 天貝 Tempeh, 黃瓜 Cucumber, and 捲心菜 Cabbage. My Dinner today is the rm$10.90 variant which comes with extra 2 pieces of 炸雞心 Fried Chicken Heart.
This latest franchises outlet of "Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus" is in USJ9/5R which opened last week Monday on the 3rd January 2022, it is next to QHC Medical Centre. And also within walking distance to another Indonesian restaurant "Ayam Penyet Surabaya" along USJ9/5S.Food today: 6 / 10 👍😋
