Thoughts: Gary who owns/runs the Kopitiam here since around 18 months ago, the Chef also manages a stall in his own kopitiam; specializing in seafood noodles specifically Lala and Prawns. Neverthelss, for lunch I am having another signature noodle dish with Pork Belly and Pork Loin. You can have it with either thick beehoon, ipoh hor fun, yellow noodle, or lai fun.
I have always thought that pork should be served when freshly delivered but Gary clarifies for the pork meat to not have that porky smell, it should either be washed and left overnight before preparing for any dishes. My bowl comes with thinly sliced fresh pork belly as well as fat & juicy pork loins, along with the tasty touch of 绍兴酒 Chinese wine in the broth, topped with parsley and pork lard; what an excellent combination.
Mr Gary also made a small bowl of his signature Lala in an even more tasty seafood broth for taste testing and he recommended to try out his signature 上湯生虾沙白皇 Lala with Prawns (without noodles) in my next visit! Definitely worth revisiting soon.
A quick scan of Gary's 新街坊啤酒園 Restoran New Neighbour offers maybe 6-7 hawker stalls with 烧腊 Roasted, 炒粿条 Char Koay Teow, 西餐 Western, 客家麵 Pan Mee, Hakka Mee, 鱼滑苦瓜麵 Fish Noodle, as well as Gary's own stall at front of the kopitiam. At time of visit, there are ample Kepong DBKL Parking available along Jalan 7/62A or you can park inside Tesco/Kepong Village Mall which is just across the trunk road of 62A and its free parking inside the Mall.
