Thoughts: Der Backmeister known for its Artisan German bakery and coffee shop that serves traditional and healthy bread, one of its kind; perhaps not just in TTDI but maybe the country. What Der Backmeister offers, are hearty traditional German pastry from breakfast to dinner. The bakery is a creation by 4 friends: 2 Germans and 2 Malaysians: Oliver Rollar, Chris Gruber, Bobby Brar and Steve Tan; for the shared desires and vision of offering German pastries.
德国咖喱香腸配沙拉面包 Currywurst (Curry sausage) is said to be something of popular fast food sold in food trucks just about anywhere in Germany. Der Backmesiter's version of Currywurst is prepared with homemade ketchup mixed with currywurst mix from Germany. Not spicy at all, topped the currywurst sauce on the bread with some salad and some german sausage then dip with more currywurst sauce seems the best way to savor what's offered on the plate. Perhaps a dish that can go well with either a cuppa or a glass of beer!
苹果馅饼配淡奶油 Apple Strudel was however, to me, would only do well with the whipcream (add rm$1 for it); otherwise, it would have been really a sour dish. Mind your, the Apple Strudel itself is the hearty meal for one person as its a big piece for rm$12.
Since Der Backmeister opens from 8am, I shall be back for more soon as I'd forecast that parking around or before 8am should be much easier compared to anytime of the day after that. Worth to note that service was acceptable friendly at the time of visit today.
