Thoughts: Yet another Bakery recently opened in USJ, and its "Jim's Recipe" which is a newbie in town. The Bakery was founded in 2017 by Jim Wong (a Malaysian Chinese) with its first shop in Puchong (I think at Bandar Puteri). The Bakery expert quickly expanded business to 50 outlets within 4 months of its emergence, and after its appearance of its first store in Jiangmen, China; Jim's Recipe now has over 400 stores world wide. Current Jim's Recipe has over 350+ stores in China, 9 in Philippines, and maybe 4 in Malaysia.
Jim's Recipe's signature product is the 海綿蛋糕 traditional Sponge Cake; however, also available are the 鹹蛋海綿蛋糕 Salted-Egg Sponge Cake and 芝士海綿蛋糕 Chees Sponge Cake variant. The rm$9.90 "傳統海綿蛋糕 Original Sponge Cake" was a little expensive, no doubt fluffy, eggy, but slightly wet, and still have hints of salted-egg!
The Sponge cake is a 輕質蛋糕 light cake made 許多蛋清  with lots of egg whites, 麵粉 flour and 糖 sugar, originated during the 復興時期 Renaissance, possibly in 西班牙 Spain or 英國 England. But the Light and Airy Sponge cakes have evolved to a variant of recipes; like the Chiffon cakes and Sponge cakes introduced to the Philippines by the Spanish people. And generally are called "mamón" and typically baked as cupcakes (torta), or as cake rolls (pianono); these Phililino bake recipes are a delight to the eyes and palates. 
According to Wikipedia; Interestingly, the Chinese Malaysian's steamed "馬來糕 Ma Lai Ko" is classified as a variant of the 海綿蛋糕 Sponge Cakes ("泡沫甜點 Foam Desserts" family). Another variant, the 19th-century American cake called the "天使蛋糕 Angel food" is another fluffy variant of the Sponge Cake which contains no egg yolks or butter, and was once very popular in the 80s and still is today where the light cakes can be found in some bakeries as well as some giant groceries in Malaysia or local street Markets. On the other hand, カステラ Castella cake from 日本 Japan, which has also became popular in 台灣 Taiwan was a hit when first introduced; with long queues for the 台灣古早味蛋糕 Japan/Taiwanese Sponge Cake, an example is the "源味本鋪 Original Cake" in Sunway Pyramids.
