Thoughts: The Poke cuisine began with 古代夏威夷人 Ancient Hawaiians feasted on 新鮮捕獲的魚 freshly caught fish massaged with 海鹽 sea salt, 海藻 seaweed and 夏威夷調味品 crushed inamona or 堅果 kukui nuts. But when 中國移民 Chinese and 日本移民 Japanese Immigrants arrived in Hawaii, they bring along 醬油 soya sauce and 海藻 seaweeds among other things which are added to the the Hawaii’s culinary melting pot, and selections of poke have multiplied to cater for the palates of Asian and Western populations in the United States. And therefore, I think it can be called the "鬼佬杂饭 GuaiLow Mixed Rice"!

Today poke shops are a common feature of 夏威夷美食 Hawaii Cuisine but are popping up in major US cities from 洛杉磯 Los Angeles to 堪薩斯城 Kansas City to 紐約 New York; and even cities in 澳大利亞 Australia and 新西蘭 New Zealand.
Established in 2016, "The Fish Bowl" is actually the first poke specialty shop to open in Malaysia. Initially with its flagship shops in 雙威鎮 Bandar Sunway and 萬達鎮 Bandar Utama, it has now 10 outlets in 巴生谷 Klang Valley. Just like any other Mixed Rice stalls for 大馬華人雜飯 Chinese, 馬來人雜飯 Malay, 泰國雜飯 Thailand, or 印度人雜飯 Indian shops; Poke Bowl follow the same concept of a DIY "Guai Low" style (albeit DIY 鬼佬雜飯组合) to choose from the varieties available in their Food Counter. If customer cannot decide, "The Fish Bowl" also provides several standard pre-selected menu choices.
