芽菜雞飯 Bean Sprout Chicken Rice (or Cantonese: Ngah Choi Kai or Malay: Taugeh Ayam) is said to originate from 怡保 Ipoh, 霹靂州 Perak. Probably quite similar to 海南雞飯 Hainanese Chicken Rice except that Bean Sprout Chicken Rice usually offers a plate of 芽菜 Bean Sprouts (with extra costs). Not fried chicken but 白暫雞 Steamed Chicken and usually served with 淡醬油 light soya sauce and some oil, customer can ask for 老抽 thick dark sauce with chopped garlics. The meal can go with 飯 rice or 棵條湯/河粉 soup koay teow/hor fun! Thoughts: Last time here was a long time ago 20.08.2017 for Dinner.
