Thoughts: Last here was June last year after the MCO1.0 Lockdown where Dine-in was possible, it's on 25.06.2020 for Moorthy's Mathai's Banana Leaf rice, liked it then. MCO3.0 today is just the Roti Canai, Vadai, and Teh Tarik.

The Vadai (or Vada), a thick savory Donut shaped Indian street food was very filling and went well with the Chutneys and Dhal provided in the take-away.
In the Indian food culture, Vadai or "Vada" are often eaten as 小吃 snacks or as an accompaniment to another dish. In restaurants, they can be ordered as an 訂購 à la carte item, but are not the 主菜 main course. They are preferably eaten freshly fried, while still hot and crunchy. They are served with a variety of dips including 印度辣醬 chutneys and dahi (yogurt or "curd" in Indian English). Variants of this street food can also be found in 毛里求斯 Mauritius and parts of 非洲 Africa..
Vadai (Vada) was thought to be already popular among ancient Tamils during 100 BCE – 300 CE. The savory fried snacks is popular in both 南北印度 North and South India; with different name "balla, wada, vade, vadai, wadeh, medu vada, and bara". In 北印度 North India, the "Balla" is a similar street food (deep fried but shaped like croquettes) and is served "cold" with yoghurt and chutney. While the typical Vadai or Vada found in Malaysian Indian Restaurants resembles the 南印度 Southern Indian "Medu Vada" (served with coconut Chutneys) with the same donut shape, probably brought over by 印度移民 Indian Immigrants centuries ago even before 英國殖民之前 British Colonialization.
