猪内脏粿汁(粿什) Pork innards Kway Chap noodle 40BHT (rm$5.30) 👍👍👍😋😋 7.5/10
Total bill: rm$5.30
Budget: MYR$10-
Payment method: Cash
Cuisine: Pork noodle (Kway Chap)
Highlights: opens early, non-Halal, many outdoor seating
Public Transport: Sutthisan MRT Station
Thoughts: In Thailand, a bowl of Kway Chap is around 40-50BHT. Some stalls serve with very dark soup and other lighter ones. Unlike the Penang style which is more duck based, the Thai Kway Chap comes with a myriad of ingredients which include pork belly, pork offal, pork slices, other pork organs or even fish sausages. The noodles for the Thai Kway Chap is rolled up and not flat sheets of rice noodles. My bowl also comes with some kind of 炸油条 "You Tiao" as well as boiled egg, soup is slightly peppery and salty.
Muang Thai - Phatra Market (not the flea market but the once with hawker food) that offers Thai street food from early morning to 8pm at night, I think there are maybe 8-10 stalls here for either dine in or take-away. Hawker food price here should be affordable for locals and nearby office workers as this isn't a place where tourist will visit.
