Thoughts: Generally in my opinion, it's a reasonably successful Dim Sum restaurant chain in Klang Valley; "锦选香港点心 Restoran Jin Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum" has been serving Dim Sum as early as 7am in all of its branches across Klang Valley for around 10 years now!. Thie latest installation of the Dim Sum chain was somewhere around CNY in January, which is at USJ 10 Taipan area and undoubtedly is welcomed among local residents, as since then there seemed reportedly always a queue at around 8am every morning. So, as to today, the Dim Sum chain has 9 locations; the latest in USJ, 2 in Puchong, SS21, SS22, Kuchai, PJ Old Town, Kota Kemuning, and Kota Damansara.
I cannot say for the Kuchai and Kota Damansara branches but for other 7 locations I have visited, all have very similar interior layout, and I think the Dim Sum menu and prices are similar as well. So, there are no push cart dim sum serving even on weekends (its ordering through a check list), there is also the dessert section where one can pick up items like egg tart and polo bao etc (I see the waiters also bring these items to the table).
At 7:30am, still can get a table today but around 8am its already full house (indoors as well as outdoor seating area) and there is already a queue at the entrance. Dim Sum has always been above average here except today's Jasmine tea (too light) and Chicken feet (mushy) were both way below expectations. Also didn't like the plate of fish paste in green chili but the rest were as usual not bad. The 2 page of Dim Sum choices looks the same for all of its branches with price range of rm$5 - rm$7, average plates are rm$5.50/plate.
On normal working days, MPSJ will be hard working around 9am at the Taipan area and parking will be challenging anyway thereafter. But for early birds, 7am early breakfast with Dim Sum being another choice in USJ10 is definitely a delightful choice.
