Thoughts: Perhaps not too surprising that KLIA2 is quite "empty" today! GGood to have been given an "Air Asia Premium Flex" ticket and this morning the counters W2 & W3 for Corporate check-in were also empty. Going through the custom was a breeze, no queue and hassle free. The "Premium Flex" offers free access to the "Premium Red Lounge" which is located just after Eraman and before the Cafe area (McD etc). For walk-in access to use the Lounge is rm$85 but "Premium Flex" ticket holders can use it free for 3 hours (the Premium Air fare is slightly more than 2x the price of the budget tickets for today's flight). Nevertheless, besides the complementary Lounge access, the "Premium Flex" also offers 2 times Air Ticket changes, Express baggage/check-in/boarding, Hot seat, an on-board meal, and Baggage delay protection.
The Premium Red Lounge isn't too big but provide ptivate areas for working, free desktops also available for browsing, high-speed internet, and snacks area. The simple buffet offers Nasi Lemak, basic Western breakfast (bread, scrambled eggs, beans, and cereal), also available are Porridge, Sandwich, cold drinks, juice, and can beverages. Can beers are also available at a price. A meal at the Cafateria area maybe around rm$20-rm$30, the Lounge access is rm$85! Maybe the price for the walk-in access isn't value for money but with the Lounge access plus other bundled services as part of the Premium air-fare is something to consider.
The Premium Red Lounge access is available in KLIA2, no idea if it is available in any other airports. The lounge opens 24 hours in KLIA2, it is available for International flight out of KLIA2 for Premium Flex guest. There are 2 Premium Lounge, one at 2M (today's visit) and another one at Gate L8.
