Thoughts: I find that, at least the sampled street food and restaurant food in Bangkok in this area are about more than half the price difference. Street noodles or rice maybe around 50-70Bht and Restaurant meals around 150 - 180Bht (rm$7 to 8 compared to rm$20+).
Zabzood is a Thai restaurant and good to find an English menu available. The "泰式木瓜沙拉 Thai Papaya Salad" was quite interesting, its even topped with some dried shrimps! However, what made my day was the "烤猪子 Grilled Pork Neck" comes with sweet sour and spicy sauce on the side as a dipping sauce; went super well with the white rice.
Interestingly, every item on the table are ordered separately including the white rice where sticky rice and noodles are also available. There are 16 main dishes and 9 side dishes, I can see even cockles and thousand year old egg as choices in the menu. You can also have beer or other beverages to go with the lunch.
