Thoughts: The "One Fifty Lashes Pale Ale" is a wonderful beer, in my opinion; a very easy drinking beer and I think a familiar style to Australian style beer after a couple evenings of it! It is a cloudy Pale-Ale but very refershing with an ever slight hint of fruitiness (not know exactly what's in it though)! The craft beer is from Australia's Malt Shovel Brewery founded 30 years ago in 1998!
In 1998, Chuck Hahn converted a furniture factory into Hahn's Brewery, and 10 years later changed its name to the now Malt Shovel Brewery. The name is inpired from the Australian beer legend James Squire's original Brewing Tavern - "The Malt Shoverl"! Chuk Hahn is a man after James Squire's heart, both are passionate Australian brewers. The Legendary James Squire, is the man who first successfully cultivated hops in Australia way back in the early 19th century, who has since then making significant impact to the Australian beer drinking landscape.
Following the footsteps of the former James Squire, Malt Shovel Brewery (in Sydney) follows the tradition of making smaller batches in traditional copper kettles to deliver the highest quality every time, with very little Automation but under the skillful hands of a team of expert brewers! It is said to be one of the best Craft Brewers in Australia.
I enjoyed the "One Fifty Pale Ale"!
