Thoughts: Delayed my last cup of "Cuppa" in the hotel on the last day of departure to KL! Melbourne St.Kilda road's Park view Hotel's Wood restaurant has 3 separate section; that is the restaurant, lounge (beer), and cafe. Days before this morning, have done the breakfast and beer except their coffee. I find that basically coffee in most places around town is about AUD$4 (similar price to a Starbucks in KL).
Surprisingly, it is a busy place in a Saturday morning, with seemly walk-in Australians customers into the hotel for a Cuppa! My brief observation of Australian culture was long conversations over dinner table whether it is a cafe, bar, or restaurant. In other parts of Asia where there is Chinese in a restaurant, one will be drowned in the "loud and noisy" conversations but not so in a crowded restaurant in Melbourne as I observed this week! (without the Chinese!)
The Cappacino was excellent!
