16.01.2017 Breakfast
@ Brunch Kitchen at Wisma Cosway
3rd floor at Wisma Cosway, Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur
客家面 Hakka Mee $3.90
Thoughts: The 6 days breakfast at Brunch Kitchen for $3.90 each menu are as below:
Monday 客家面 Hakka Mee (16.01.2016 Today)
Tuesday 自制水饺河粉汤 Dumpling Keow Teow Soup
Wednesday 肉碎香料米粉 Minced Pork MeeHun
Thursday 叉烧云吞面 BBQ Pork WanTan Mee (15.12.2016)
Friday 沙捞越干捞面 Sarawak GanPan Mee
Saturday 滑蛋河 Wat Dan Ho
I tried the Thursday menu last month and today I am eating the Monday's Hakka Mee! Surprisingly, I was busy eating breakfast elsewhere and did not try any more breakfast here after 15.Dec last year until today.
I have tasted Hakka Mee elsewhere, and I think the recipe is quite similar, it does seem that the sauce is equally salty as usual. Then again, I am not sure that is the true recipe of Hakka Mee. I guess it could be the taste of the clear fish sauce and MSG but maybe without garlic oil. The flat noodle is acceptably good.
I have heard that Hakka Mee originated from Seremban! The one mostly blogged is Tow Kee Hakka Mee 滔记客家面店 at the Pasar Besar Seremban, maybe it is really worth a visit to see what authentic Hakka Mee really taste like.
