Thoughts: If it was any good on the dinner table, it was just the soya milk. Quite a lot of customers but the 5-6 young staffs at the drinks kitchen area were teasing each other and chatting very loud and doesn't seem too interested in their work. I am not sure what the franchise owners feels about it but I bet the franchise owner is sleeping at home counting his/her money in their dreams, probably some filthy rich fellow with many such "business-in-a-box" franchises and not bothering if one of it fails anyway!
I guess to be filthy rich is really a nice thing, one does not even need to be hands-on or know about the franchise business. The franchising fee to start an Old Town White Coffee is RM80,000. The initial investment is among the highest among other franchise businesses where it will only require about RM600,000 to RM800,000. These kinds of numbers are perhaps "kacang puteh" for the filthy rich.
The Hor Fun for $10.50 is a disaster, really just thick oil floating on the soup. There were two franchising old town white coffee at USJ 10, one already folded some time ago.
