Thoughts: This is the 11th visit to USJ1 Damen Mall's "有間麵館GO Noodle House", and last visit was March 5.2022 for a rm$20.90 "酸菜深海石斑魚片湯麵 Pickled Vegetable Deep Sea Grouper Fish". BUT of course, GO Noodle's signature was their rm$9.50 "漿爆丸麵 Bursting Meatball Noodles" 7 years ago on October 22.2016.
GO Noodle House was the brain child of Mr Lee Hon Wai, Mr Alvin Tan Kok Meng, and MR Mok Wai Peun in 2014. AND in June 2014, they opened the first GO Noodle House outlet in Jaya One, Petaling Jaya. The success of our first outlet, as noted by the lengthy queue during meal times, encouraged us to expand the GO experience throughout the country. Today, GO Noodle has at least 37 Outlets in Malaysia and Australia with 2 Brands "有間麵館GO Noodle House" and "有麵食 GO Street Noodle ". BUT of course, GO Noodle's signature was their rm$9.50 "漿爆丸麵 Bursting Meatball Noodles" 7 years ago on October 22.2016.
Besides their original signature Noodles with 漿爆丸麵 Bursting Meatballs, the Noodle House have added a variety of Noodle and other Ala-Carte choices since 2014. AND latest is their "娘惹咖哩 Nyonya Curry" with Seafood or of course their Bursting Meatballs! BUT today's dinner is a rm$17.90 "奶香酸菜三鮮北方餃子 Milky Pickled Vegetables Chinese Dumplings" with 10 mid-size Dumplings in a milky broth with a 大番茄 large tomato plus lots of 酸菜 pickled vegetables and top with 炒洋蔥 fried onion and 歐芹 parsley.
"北方三鮮餃子 Northern SanXian Dumplings" is a type of 多種食材剁碎混合而做成餡製成的餃子 dumpling made from a variety of ingredients minced and mixed into fillings. It is a popular type of Dumpling in Northern part of China. AND the signature is its "三鮮 SanXian" ingredients which makes it fresh! BUT perhaps there are 2 types: "素三鮮 vegetarian SanXian" where the dumpling and fillings are with 雞蛋 Egg, 韭菜 Leek and 蝦皮 Shrimp skin (not sure its pure vegetarian) AND another type is "肉(葷)三鮮 meat SanXian" which comes with 豬肉 pork meats + 韭菜 leek and 蝦仁 prawns. Today's "GO Noodle House" concoction is probably a variant of it with the 酸菜 pickled vegetables and 乳白色高湯 milky broth!
餃子 Chinese Dumpling today are still widely consumed and it is a must food item during the 新春佳節 Chinese New Year and especially in the 北方 Northern part of China. The history of Chinese Dumpling is an interesting one; dumpling consumption is thought to have begun around 200 BCE (2200 years ago) during the 漢朝 Han Dynasty. BUT the many names are interesting for the past 2000 over years; for example, 三國時期 Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-280) is called "月牙餛飩 Crescent tooth Wonton", then the 南北朝時期 Northern and Southern Dynasties (AD 420–589) were called as "Huen Tuen 餛飩",唐代 Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) has the interesting name of "偃月形餛飩",宋代 Sung Dynasty (AD 960-1276) was called "角子 Jiozi",元代 Yuan Dynasty (AD 1271-1368) has the name of "扁食 Bianshi"; and the 清朝 Qing Dynasty (AD 636-1912) finally started to use as the current name as "餃子 Jiozi".Food today: 8 / 10 👍👍👍😋😋😋
