Benjy Café may be conspicuous to most people driving past the E-Tiara Service Apartment BUT the little joint is a popular haunt for regular customers who come here for Beer and Good Food. Their most welcomed dishes are 牛排 Steaks and 麵食麵食 Pastas.
Way back in 2007, the Café was called Ben and Nick's, founded by a couple who named the Café after their 2 sons. In 2015, Ben took over the business and renamed it "Benjy" while still preserving of his parents reputation for serving enjoyable Western cuisines at reasonable prices.
Starter today is a rm$25 "烤"卡真" 雞肉沙拉 Grilled Cajun Chicken Salad" with Grilled tender chicken breast cubes marinated with the Chef's Cajun recipe with 萵苣 Lettuce, 櫻桃西紅柿 Cherry tomatoes, and 杏仁堅果 Almond nuts; customer can choose from 2 choices of dressing: Orange Vinaigrette or 醋辣醬 Balsamic Vinaigrette (the later was chosen for the meat salad today). Another 2 choice of Salad are Grilled Shrimp Salad and Fresh Green Salad.
For Beef Steak, there are 4 beef cuts worth noting:
肋眼牛排 RibEye - medium tender, most flavorful (More expensive than Striploin)
西冷牛排 Striploin - least tender, medium flavorful (Cheaper than RibEye)菲力牛排 Tenderloin - most tender, least flavorful (most expensive)
T骨牛排 T-Bone - bone between Striploin and Tenderloin (maybe the cheapest)
Main course for dinner today is a rm$53 "紐西蘭西冷牛排 New Zealand Striploin" served with corn, broccoli, and fries on the side, an excellent choice. The boneless 250g beef stake was cooked in perfection for "Medium to Well done", quite flavorful but slight chewy and still quite tender. Customer can also choose a more premium rm$75 "大理石花紋澳洲肋眼牛排 Marbled Australian RibEye"!
