Yin's Sourdough can be found in Penang Georgetown as well as PJ's Damansara uptown.
Yin's Sourdough at PJ's Damansara uptown opens for early birds, and as early as 7:30am where free and easy parking is available. Today's breakfast are 烤麵包 Toast and 司康餅 Scones, and both are "酸麵包" Sourdough, and came with 咖椰 Kaya, 黃油 butter, and 水果醬 Fruit Jam; completing with a good 卡布奇諾 cuppa. And besides the mixed toast and scones today, the menu includes a variety of "酸麵包"三明治 Sourdough sandwiches, a couple of Yin's style 大早餐 Big Breakfast, 雞蛋配"酸麵包" Egg & Bread choices, "酸麵包"牛角包 Sourdough Croissants, and a variety of 蛋糕 Cakes and 各式麵包 Bakes. I shall be coming back for more!
At the PJ SS21 location, Yin's Sourdough is just opposite the Starling Mall, a corner shop lot taking up 2 shop lots with a open kitchen where all the Sourdough breads are manufacturer. With simple, and comfortable settings, on one one side of the shop lot are a simple dining setting with maybe 20+ tables, and another side is a little corner with 2 coffee tables and lots of plants.
As far as Sourdough breads, I have no idea any bakeries in USJ area offers Sourdough bread choices but I think USJ10's "Carpenter's Daughter's" offers a limited choice of Sourdough breads.
Fun facts: Regardless of the "現代麵包 Modern bread" common in bakeries, convenience store, and grocers OR "酸麵包 Sourdough bread", I believe they are all made from 麵粉 flour (小麥 wheat) based. BUT the "Modern bread" uses "Packaged Yeast or 商業酵母 Commercial Yeast" as well as the addition of 殺蟲劑 pesticides, 除草劑 herbicides, 添加劑 additives, 上升劑 rising agents, and 防腐劑 preservatives. While the "Ancient bread" (in this case I am referring to Sourdough bread) dates back to 1500 B.C. (3500 years ago); with the first recorded use of sourdough bread was from the Ancient Egyptian civilizations. But 法國 France, 德國 Germany, 波蘭 Poland and other 東歐國家 Eastern European countries also have long of eating Sourdough breads. At least in part, that most people believe that Sourdough breads are healthier than today's "Commercial Yeast" based Breads because the Sourdough breads uses "天然酵母 Wild Yeast" instead. AND "wild yeast" are in the air of the bakery and present on the grain and not commercially manufactured!
