Thoughts: Not realizing its a 5 day-long holiday from last week Thursday, unusually quiet on Federal Highway at 6:30am driving to KL. In fact, most eateries are closed today due to the holiday and the parkings at the basement of HLA was very spooky with a few cars (today is 七月十四).
I was looking forward for another vegetarian day, nothing nearby Wisma UOA2 or Genting Hawkers or Wisma Cosway. Walked along Raja Chulan road, everywhere so quiet but finally found an Indian restaurant located at ground floor of the Weld Shopping Center.
Normally, I would probably called Tosai Telur or Roti Telur if I wanted egg on the Indian Bread. But today, I ordered a plain Tosai and a separate fried egg on the side; slicing the egg and sandwiching it with a little Tosai, with some curry. That's my vegetarian (with egg) for breakfast today.
Nasi Kandar Fathima must be famous for its Nasi Kandar, bur for the morning sessions, they also serve the normal Indian breads (roti canai, roti telur, tosai etc) as well as over the counter selections like egg toast, nasi lemak, fried beehoon/noodles, and sausages. The restaurant is located at level 1 of the Weld Shopping Center. "The Weld" is a very "old" shopping center but of course has been renovated several times, it was the "first" full-fledged supermarket (as it was called that time) way back in the 60s, even earlier than subang parade. In the 1970s when schooling in KL, taking a walk from my primary school (likely 3km++) to this place was a big thing; but maybe only did it few times in the 6 years of primary school. It was previously referred to as "the Weld" but now it is called "Menara Weld".
Opening Hours: 06:00am - 06:00pm
