@ 港飲港吃美食坊 Kong Yam Kong Sek Food Court Center Point Bandar Utama (click to Google Map)
Centre Point Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya
叉燒燒肉雲吞麵 CharSiu RoastedPork WanTonMee $9 😐😐
参 Cham $2.6 👍😋
Highlights: Pork, Paid Parking, Weekend Free Parking
Food Thoughts: This 烧腊 stall is prominently seen from the entrance of the food court, I would expect a lot. But the ChaSiew is really disappointing. Noodle is not too bad but the Wan Ton Mee sauce is also disappointing. Maybe it was my bad luck this morning I get a bad portion of the CharSiu and the foreign chef mixing the noodle was also in a bad mood! LOL!
I think I know a good CharSiu as I tried and experimented cooking it in USA for 3 years. And one of the best CharSiew I think I ever had was at KL Petaling Streets 玉壶轩茶楼 Yook Woo Hin but now it is no longer in business as I hear the new generations do not want to inherit the business. This restaurant is Dim Sum in the morning and Meals in the afternoon, it is one of the oldest restaurants in KL since 1920s but too bad it is no longer around. I have visited this place since the early 1970s and even in the 80s and 90s when I started working in KL.
It was finally closed in 2012, it probably offers "the best" CharSiu I have ever tasted in KL, can't find that taste anymore! so far!
Review: 5 / 10 😐😐
Opening Hours: 07:00am - 09:30pm
