The recent Body check and Blood test results wasn't that positive and Doctors advice was the need for weight reduction and controlling food consumption.
October 1 weight was 85.5kg (188pounds) BMI 27.6
November 15 weight was 79.5kg (175pounds) BMI 25.7
... The BMI is going down but still at that yellow zone of "Overweight"! BUT without Exercise (but just started a little bit of walking just 2 weeks ago, and the reduction of 6kg (13pounds) was quite interesting!
So, these were what I did do and didn't do for the past 6+ weeks:
- I did go back to the gym (it is like I think rm$180 or more per month now at Main Place Mall's Celebrity Fitness and 10 years ago was around rm$120 per month) and ever if I did, will be probably just mostly walking on the treadmill.
- And so, I did not do any exercise until the beginning of November until started some walking in the MPSJ Stadium at USJ5. And it is just slightly faster than a stroll but maybe not as fast as brisk walking!
- The Doctors advice was to reduce intake of Rice, Noodles, and things like white bread .... and so my favorite they goes my favorite Char Siew Wanton Mee, Char Koay Teow, Nasi Lemak, Bak Kut Teh, Teh Tarik, Latte etc etc ... IN FACT, the prescription for food was 1/3 of the plate if needed can be Rice or Noodle, the other 1/3 can be some protein like meats and the balance 1/3 should all be vegetables ...
- And for 6+ weeks without "the above favorite" and kind of follow that 1/3 plate rule, BUT I cheated once with the Vegetarian Bak Kut Teh with brown rice @ SS20's Five Fingers last week!
- And YES, didn't have a single Teh Tarik since the beginning of October, and I cheated few times (maybe 3-4 times) with a cup of Cappuccino or Flat white. But mostly it was "Teh O/Teh O limau panas", Americano, or Kopi O Kosong!
- And No Alcohol since the 3rd week of October.
- Occasionally, I did have a few times of Porky rice meals due to craving!!!
Today: November 15 weight was 79.5kg (175pounds) (BMI 25.7)
Plan: December 31 weight hopefully go down to 75kg (165pounds) (BMI 24.2)
... and that BMI will be in the "Normal Zone"
... Let's TRY ...
... as now I really believe that old saying ... "You are What you Eat"
