Economical rice stalls are designed for the ordinary people to get a quick, and "inexpensive meal" option outside their homes. "S11" or "S One One" is one of the many Chinese Mixed Rice specialty shops in Klang Valley that have many locations. The F&B offers 3 types of "雜飯" eateries: first, there are 4 "飲食專賣店 Singature" outlets like this one in PJ's Seksyen 17 that offers not only Chinese mixed rice but also "燒臘 Siew Lap" with rice or 雲吞麵 Wanton Mee. Next, there are at least 10 shops in the category of "雜菜飯專賣店 Mixed Rice Specialty shops" which probably offers only the Mixed Rice. Then lastly, there are 3 "咖啡店 Kopitiams" style shops which offers their signature Mixed Rice as well as multi-hawker stalls just like other Chinese Kopitiams around the country. I believe all of the 17 shops are in 巴生谷 Klang Valley.
This "S11" at PJ's Seksyen is at a corner shop lot just behind Happy Mansion; and parking here during lunch hours are more than challenging with people parking anywhere and everywhere they can find a spot to squeeze in their car. But, if lucky there are "free" parking inside Happy Mansion and there is a staircase exiting to Jalan 17/7 where "S11" is located". Today, this location offers around 40+ dishes with empty container areas that can maybe cater for at least another 15-20 dishes! With 40+tables, it is also "spacious" and "clean", and not too stuffy despite the scorching hot noon time today. With 3 dishes on the plate: Vegetables, Tofu with Egg, and Vegetables Fried with minced meat costs rm$8, all dishes not too salty nor sweet, satisfying and affordable. Besides 雜飯 Mixed Rice and 燒臘 Siew Lap, this particular shop under the category of "飲食專賣店 Singature" also offers Chinese pastries like 燒包 Siew Pao, 老婆餅 Winter Melon paste pastries etc as well as a 水果檔 fruit stall.
