USJ4's "摩迪瑪泰餐廳 Moorthy's Mathai Restaurant" is offering 免費早餐和午餐 Free Breakfast and Lunch for the Neighborhood Residents on the Happy Occasions of the 屠妖節慶祝活動 Deepavali Celebration today! And this has been an annual affair for many years by the neighborhood Indian Restaurant in USJ4. The Restaurants already ready for the open house breakfast as early as 7:30am this morning. 

The open house Deepavali Celebration at Moorhty's Mathai begin with the lighting of firecracker rolls! 

For the morning session, there are lots of choices: 印度煎餅 Roti Canai, 印度多薩 Thosai, 炒米粉和麵 Fried Meehoon and Mee, 印度蒸米粉 Putu Mayam, 咖哩泡芙 Curry Puff, 炸豆餅 Vadai, 蒸米漿糕 Idli, 炒蔬菜 Sautéed Vegetables, 乾咖哩羊肉 Dry Curry Mutton and 乾咖哩雞 Dry Curry Chicken, 白飯配三巴醬水煮蛋和黃瓜 Sambal for White rice and Boiled eggs, and a variety of 酸辣醬 Chutney and 豆泥糊 Dhal. For the lunch session, there will be a variety of meaty dishes like Curry Chicken, Fish (including their signature Fried Tenggiri Fish), Mutton, Fried Chicken, etc etc. 

USJ4's "摩迪瑪泰餐廳 Moorthy's Mathai" is an old trusted favorite for Banana Leaf Rice Restaurant in the USJ Neighborhood. Old timers would remember Mathai’s from Brickfields in the 1970s as it started way back in 1969 by Mr K.O. Mathai who hailed from Kerala, the stall sold simple Indian food within a Chinese coffee shop that was located below the iconic Rumah Tumpangan Peking. Mathai's little stall then offers Banana Leaf rice doused with curry, vegetables, a choice of fried chicken, fried fish or mutton curry. In 1992, it was time for Mathai to pass on the reins to his godson, Moorthy Rengasamy who was 36 at that time. It is not until early 2016 that Moorthy Rengasamy open his outlet in USJ4 and called it Moorthy's Mathai.
