Thoughts: Today is the 4th visit for 意崍雲吞麵 YiLai WantonMee's rm$7.50 "叉燒雲吞麵 Charsiew Wanton Mee", and the last visit of Dec 24, 2020. This is still likely one of the better Charsiew Wanton Mee in PJ.

But there are indeed many choices of worth while Charsiew Noodles/Rice destination in PJ, there are a lot more to be discovered and everyone have their favorite spots whenever they need some Charsiew therapy. But what I found and liked is the following:

亞郭夜市(第九站燒臘) Ah Kok Siew Lap at 美佳鴻運茶餐室 Restoran Megah Good Luck (afternoon and evenings)Preference of the style of "叉燒雲吞麵 Charsiew (BBQ prok) Wanton Mee" is an individual thing; from the simple less sweet red sauce Charsiew, to the super sweet 椰糖叉燒 caramelized pork belly Charsiew, or 傳統炭火烤 traditional Charcoal grilled, 蜜汁叉燒 Honey glaze, or varieties of sauce used by different chef to marinate the Charsiew that results in their acclaimed best Charsiew recipe in town!
"叉燒 Char Siew", not to be confused with the Japanese "叉燒 Chashu チャーシュー", which is a popular meat item for Ramen noodles. The Japanese adaptation is without the "red color" or "five spice power" (typically a major item to marinate the Chinese version of the Charsiew), and the 日式叉燒 Japanese Chashu is prepared by rolling the pork belly slices into a log shape chunk of meat and then braising it at a low heat for at last 90 minutes. Results is a 薄圆形肉 thin round shaped meat (cut from the rolling log of meat) serve as a meat time to the 日本拉面碗 Ramen bowl.

The original 中式叉燒 Chinese Charsiew, classified as a type of "燒味 Siew Mei" (Cantonese roasted meat) along with "燒肉 Siew Yoke", is one of the All-time most loved roasted pork recipes. And it is so popular in 香港 Hong Kong, 澳門 Macao, 廣東 Guang Dong, and 東南亞 South East Asia; and a likely one of the most classic comfort food wherever they are Chinese people. Mostly Eaten with 叉燒飯 Rice, or used as an ingredient for noodle dishes (such as 雲吞麵 Wanton Mee) or 叉燒炒飯 stir fries with rice, or as a filling for 叉燒包 Charsiew Bao. Although likely with an origin in 廣東 Guangdong, 中國 China. BUT, the "叉燒 Char Siew" is said to have been around for a long time, as it appeared in royal recipe books over 3,000 years ago in the 周朝 Zhou dynasty (according to a Google searched article).
The word "叉燒 Charsiew (Cantonese) or Chāshāo (Mandarin)", and the first Chinese word "叉" is a "象形字 Chinese pictograph". In the olden days, "twigs or tree branches" could have been used as a grill tool to hold the meats over the fire; hence the word "叉 Char" assimilates the twigs or branches use in the old barbeque method. The second word "燒 Shao" is 形聲字 (Chinese Pictophonetic Characters) where the single word is made of two separate chinse characters of "火" and "堯" where "火" is likely the fire used for the barbeque and "堯" indicates the sizzling sound of fire burning!
And today's rm$7.50 叉燒雲吞麵 Charsiew Wanton Mee is at SS26's 美茶餐室 Restoran Mayang Jaya by a hawker stall called "意崍雲吞麵 YiLai WantonMee". The plate comes with beautifully 玻璃叉燒 glazed barbeque pork, 不會太甜或太油膩 not overly sweet nor fat, comes with 瘦中带肥 good ratio of fat and meat, 輕微燒焦 slightly charred; along with 菜心 choy sum and a bowl of soup with 餛飩 wanton, plus a typical small plate of 青辣椒 green chilies.
