Thoughts: This is the 6th visit to USJ2's "All Day Polo Bun", and last visit was Oct 1, 2021. The Cafe's 香港熱奶茶 Hong Kong Milk Tea, in my opinion is always dependable when I need one. But "All Day Polo Bun" does not offer extensive menu choices as typical 香港茶餐廳 Hong Kong Char Chan Teng. Besides 菠蘿包 Polo Bun or 香港奶茶 Hong Kong Milk Tea, the Café also "豬仔包 Zhu Gzai Bun" as well as some Hong Kong style Rice and Noodle dishes.

In 1946, the Ng family, who were expelled from 墨西哥 Mexico, opened a Hong Kong-style Café in 香港上海街 Hong Kong's Shanghai Street. There, they made the Mexico bun as a tribute to the 墨西哥"貝殼形"麵包 Mexican Concha. And from that, the pineapple bun was first introduced to Hong Kong food culture. The iconic Polo Bun is now a common breakfast choice and afternoon tea for Hong Kong people, where many 香港茶餐廳 Hong Kong Cafes even offers the Butter variant. This iconic pastry finally in 2014, that the Hong Kong government listed the process for making it as an “非物質文化遺產 intangible cultural heritage.”
A Polo Bun (in Chinese 菠蘿包 or literally "Pineapple bun") is a kind of sweet bun predominantly popular in 香港 Hong Kong and 澳門 Macau, and also can be found in Chinatowns worldwide. Despite the name, the traditional version of the Polo bun does not contain pineapple; but rather, the name of Polo Bun originated from the fact that its sugary top crust is cooked to a golden-brown color, and because of its checkered top resembles the 菠蘿的外果皮 epicarp of a pineapple.
SS2's 全日菠蘿包專賣店 All Day Polo Bun offers not just the plain Polo Bun, but also their 招牌菠蘿包配黃油 Signature Polo Bun with butter, there are also the 午餐肉 Luncheon Meat or 火腿 Ham 配雞蛋 with Egg Polo Bun. And for the meaty option, there are also the 雞扒 Chicken Chop or 豬扒 Pork Chop Polo Bun. But if you want something different, there is also the 炸冬菇煎蛋菠蘿包 Fried Mushroom & Egg Polo Bun as well as 雪糕菠蘿包 Ice Cream Polo Bun (with a variety of ice cream flavors); starting from rm$7.50 to rm$16.90.
