Thoughts: It was the Nasi Ambeng that attracted me to this restaurant but unfortunately it was sold out even before noon! Besides the newly openend Nasi Ambeng stall, Restoran Ayu & Syara also offers the usual Malay mixed rice. The Black Pepper "Dark Meat" (Daging Hitam) which were mainly beef as well as beef organs (cow heart) is a popular Malay dish and was told that it's available in most restaurants offering mixed rice dishes. The dish is oily, does not look appetizing but the taste really was quite good.
