Pic1: Shahshuka with Pancakes
Pic2: Shakshuka
Pic3: Interesting Square Egg, Mini Pizza and Sausage
Pic4&5: Pastry and Fruits
Thoughts: Shahshuka is a middle east egg dish. It is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions. I choose the pancake to go along with it.
According to google, it is north African origin but it has spread its popularity to the middle east. It was said that its a popular dish for anytime of the day which is breakfast, brunch, dinner, or even as a snack. I quite agree with that, I tried it with pancake and I think it could work well with bread, even arabic tameez bread, rice, or even noodles. Other than the prominent egg yoke (cholesterol), it is really a very nice dish.
In the 3rd picture, there is this square egg which I think there must have used a mold to fry the egg! For 7 days now with 6 breakfast here, they do try to serve different menus everyday, a very good effort from the Kitchen so far with cooking primarily of Africa, Middle East, and Indian dishes.
