Thoughts: Another breakfast in USJ4's "新阿波羅餐餐室 Restoran New Apollos", and today is 4 pieces of Dumpling in Soup (rm$2 per piece), expensive but good and tasty dumplings. Remember to also pay your rm$0.50 per hour MPSJ parking as nowadays the MPSJ officers aren't just busy around USJ10 but seemed to be also randomly wondering around shop lots next to those single row shop lots next to the USJ residential houses (especially USJ 2 and USJ 4 areas), between 10/11am to 2/3pm!

Fun Facts: The Chinese 餃子 Dumpling has been around for at least 1800 years or more, said to be a food creation in the 漢朝 Han Dynasty (202BC - 220AD). And according to Legend, there lived a famous Chinese physician, and “醫聖 Medical Saint” named 張仲景 Zhang Zhongjing. He returned to his ancestral village after a long absence. During that winter, the 溫病 febrile disease was turning into an 流行病 epidemic where many had fallen ill to both the weather and lack of food. The Doctor cooked 羊肉 lamb, 黑胡椒 black peppers and 一些藥材 a few medicinal herbs, shredded them and wrapped it in the scrape of dough skin. He then 把它們塑造成耳朵形狀 shaped them like ears and boiled them. The ill were given 兩隻“耳朵”(餃子) two "Ears" along with 一碗熱湯 a bowl of warm soup. After a few days, the frostbite was gone and the epidemic was under control. Since then, most people begin imitating 張醫師 Zhang’s recipe with additional ingredients like vegetables and other kinds of meat to celebrate 春節 Chinese New Year. Although people love to call dumplings to as "餃子 Jiao Zi", they were originally named "嬌耳 Jiao’ Er" for its shape of "Tender Ears" to 治療凍傷的耳朵 treat frostbitten ears during those Cold Winter Chinese New Year days! 

Interesting Fun Facts: Some Chinese kopitiams around USJ or Subang Jaya have started charging a cup of Teh or Kopi at prices from rm$2 to rm$2.20 but some may be holding the old price of rm$1.80 until end of the year! That is a clear increase of around 10% which is rm$0.10 to rm$0.20 per cup from the last price increase just 2-3 years ago. Considering that just 10 years ago, the same cup is only around rm$1.30 to rm$1.40!

Considering that Barista Western Café like Starbucks or most Artisan Coffee shop's standard cup of Latte or Cappuccino is at rm$10 to rm$13+, our local Chinese Kopitiam Uncle Kopi prices of rm$2.10 to rm$2.20 per cup; those Artisan Coffee still looks very much overpriced in our country.
