Thoughts: CalleVerde in Spanish means Green Street. But the lunch having is called "Palabok" which is a cuisine from Luzon, Philippines. I am here for a Philippines cuisine of "Palabok" where the main sauce for the noodle is Tinapa or smoked fish/prawn blended and cooked with annatto oil, that's what makes the orange color thick soup. The fishy noodle dish comes with a lemon the side to subdue the fishy taste if needed. The sweet annatto smoked fish thick soup was served with boiled egg slices and shrimps plus a Chinese influence noodle called Palabok in the Philippines (粉丝 in Chinese or Cellophane noodles). Enjoyed this cooking style!
Centerstage also has another location in KL Tun H.S. Lee Road (within walking distance from Pasar Seni LRT station). For today's lunch session, I am very pleased with the warm services of the Filipino crew here at the Cafe; worth while noting that CalleVerde offers a good variety of Filipino cuisines.
