Thoughts: my plan was to have the famous Pan Mee at 天涯客板面 "Tian Yake Ban Mien", arriving at Lorong Haji Taib 5 and its not openend today! (to my understanding 天涯 only closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Ended up having Teow Chew fish ball noodle at 大光茶餐室 Kedia Kopi dan Makanan Tai Kong, which is a rather unassuming kopitiam right at the junction of Jalan Putra and Jalan Raja Laut (it is about maybe 5 minutes walk from PWTC LRT station). 大光 Tai Kong offers several noodles stalls, fried rice, porridge, and I think roasted pork/charsiew rice.
Was satisified with the Teow Chew fish balls and fish cakes at reasonable price of rm$6.50; you can also add the Home-made Yong Tao Foo for rm$1.20/pc. The Teow Chew fish balls are definitely worth trying, fresh, fishy, bouncy/springy type that I like.
This "Old style" Kopitiam serves up a good "Kopi Gao" by the 老手 Old-Hands, eating and having old style coffee here is like transporting back to the 70s, I like.
天涯板面 Tian Yaka Pan Mee will still be my To-Eat-List next time in KL!
