Thoughts: Korean Soy Sauce Drummies which is believe in Koren is 닭강정 (or DakGangJeong!), its deep-fried crispy chicken dish glazed in a sticky, sweet, and spicy sauce. 3pcs at rm$8.90, enjoyed it so much.
The 3 dish Namul 나물 are 3 vegetarian plate dish (a spicy sour cucumber, tasteless green, and kimchi). On the day of Daeboreum (19th Feb), is a Korean holiday that celebrates the first full moon of the new year of the lunar Korean calendar which is the Korean version of the First Full Moon Festival. The Koreans celebrates this day with many traditions and one of it is to eat Namul 나물 with five-grain rice. It is believed that Namuls eaten in winter help one to withstand the heat of the summer to come.
I end my lunch with a Korean dessert "Citron Jelly 유자 젤리"; I have just realized that 香橼 Citron is an Asian tree bearing fruits which resembles large lemons with less acid flesh and thick fragrant peel (Wikipedia). The fruit is believe to have been native India, in the foothills of the Himalayas and later also cultivated in the Mediterraneans! The Citron Jelly is garnished with Citron peels as well as dried red dates, enjoyed this dessert.
This is the first time visiting Seoul Garden Hot Pot at Main Place USJ 21, the restaurant has been here for several years already! Enjoyed todays Korean bites and desserts, sure to drop by for its proper meal at another time.
