Thoughts: Royale Chulan Penang (formerly known as Royale Bintang Penang) is a 4-star hotel in Penang, located right at the heart of the UNESCO Heritage site. The exterior of the building was restored to its colonial charm of a structure that was build in 1892! Nevertheless, I was not impressed with the receiption area. But the rm$230/day Superior room was very satisfying. The bed room was kept separated from the entrance, in fact the toilet areas include shower, washing, toilet and wardrobe are distinctly separate from the bed area.
Room is clean, no smells, work area is big with ample sockets for multiple device charging. Also comes with a big screen TV. Overall, very satisfied with the room.
