Thoughts: Put aside the Bak Kut Teh, the chicken feet was just excellent (one of the best I ever tasted)! Braised real soft and tasty, and lots of tenden; does look like the chicken feets were further braised/cooked in the claypot for awhile before serving; so easy to suck out the chicken skin and its tendon. Very very nice.
As I was focused on the Claypot chicken feet, didn't have too much of the Bak Kut Teh but I think the soup was quite "herbally" compared to others, I would say a good brooth.
SS14/1 & 2A are Bak Kut Teh haven with at least maybe 6 to 9 Bak Kut Teh shops. 有记瓦煲肉骨茶 Yu Kee is but one of them here; come evening starting 6pm+, this shop takes-up both the front and back of road 1 and road 2A, and tables will occupy the parking spots facing the shop.
Besides Bak Kut Teh (both soup and dry version) with option to add 金针菇 Enoki mushroom; also in the menu are the 挖煲鸡脚 Claypot chicken feet, 挖煲酸辣芥菜 Claypot spicy sour mustard green (something rare in BKT shops), 黄酒鸡 Yellow wine chicken, 猪脚醋 Pig foot vineger, 猪肉丸 Pork ball, and very interesting item called 胡椒丸 Pepper ball! These are what I remembered from the Menu (on the wall inside the restaurant)!
Many of the Bak Kut Teh restaurants that have survived here perhaps have their own followers and I don't really think it matters who wins the BKT War here; just a concentrated area with a lot of Bak Kut Teh varieties to choose from. And because of so many eateries here, parking near the shop lots are quite challenging.
