SS15's 大家美食中心 Big Family Restaurant started with 2 shop lots with maybe around 25+ stalls sometime in 2021 amidst the Covid-19, several months ago it extended to 4 shop lots taking over the 2 grocery shops next door. With the extension comes at least additional 25-30 tables and maybe 10 or more new stalls. 

Dinner today is a rm$11.90 "鴛鴦飯 Yin Yong rice" which can can with either rice or wanton mee, to go with charsiew as well as curry chicken!

Thoughts: The SS15 Chinese Kopitiam "大家美食中心 Big Family Restaurant" remains to be as popular as it first opened probably sometime in Q3 of 2021 (maybe 15 months ago) in the middle of the Pandemic last year and today despite a weekday, it is packed with customers. AND this is corner 3 shop lots kopitiam in SS15 that offers at least 25+ hawker stalls with over 40+tables and with a seating capacity of at least 120 customers:

Taste of Siam's second outlet opened about 1 year ago in December 16. 2021 at SS15's 大家美食中心 Big Family Restaurant). This hawker stall run by a young Malaysian-Thai couple (Eddie Chin and his wife Chidchanok Leebut) and serves 泰國豬肉飯 Pork Trotter Rice, 泰式猪肉粿汁 Thai Pork Kuey chap noodle, 泰式青咖哩雞米粉 Green Curry Chicken, 芒果糯米飯 Mango sticky rice, even 泰式涼拌無骨雞腳 Thai Chicken Feet Salad etc. from rm$8 to rm$13. Initially started as a Home-based business amidst the Pandemic just to take small pre-orders for family meals. but later opened their 1st outlet in SS2's 利廣美食中心 Le Kwang kopitiam.

泰國豬肉飯 Pork leg stew on rice, or "ข้าวขาหมู Kao Ka Moo" (sometimes simply called "ขาหมู Kha Mu"), is the 經典的泰國街頭美食 classic Thai street food. This popular Thai dish can be commonly found all over the streets of Thailand cities and towns as well as in any food courts. The 鹹甜味燉豬腿 salty-sweet flavored Pork leg stew is normally served with 煮雞蛋 boiled eggs and some 泡菜 pickles, and it's just the most comforting dish for all ages.

"大家美食中心 Big Family Restaurant" is fast becoming a popular multi-hawker stall kopitiam in SS15 for breakfast to dinner. The "泰國豬腳飯 Thai Pork Throttle rice" is operated by the same stall owner who also offers it at USJ2's "利廣美食中心 Restoran Le Kwang" which is open from lunch onwards. 

One of the most popular stall, right at the entrance of the kopitiam is called "JOHN Penang Har Mee" which offers 檳城蝦麵 Penang Har Mee, 滷麵 Loh Mee as well as 粿條湯 Kuay Teow Teng all from rm$8 to rm$9 per bowl. 

Lor mee or Loh Mee (either 卤面 or 滷麵) is a Hokkien noodle dish from 杭州 Zhangzhou served in a 濃稠的澱粉汁 thick starchy gravy. Different variants of Loh Mee can be found in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and even Thailand; especially by the 福建人 Hokkiens. The 玉米澱粉 thick gravy is made of corn starch, spices, meat, seafoods and eggs. The ingredients added into the noodles are usually 魚餅片 fish cake, 扁豬肉肉或片扁雞肉片 flat meat slices of usually chicken or pork, 煮雞蛋 half a boiled egg, and other items depending on the stall and the price paid. 醋 Vinegar and 大蒜 garlic, and 紅辣椒醬 red chili sauce can be added as an option to kick the umami taste one notch up.
