Thoughts: The new Stellar Suites in Puchong's Bandar Puteri now offers the following F&B:
@ 隆華小鎮 Loong Hwa Kopitiam (Malaysian Chinese hawker food, Dim Sum)
@ 大王小碗菜 Da Wang Xiao Wan Cai (Chinese small dishes)@ Mochiyuki Onigiri (Onigiri varieties & Japanese Bento)@ Cham (Coffee, Soft Serve, Waffle, Toast & Snacks)
All of the 4 F&B is at the ground floor entrance and today's lunch is a "high-end" 雜飯 Chinese mixed rice with selected dishes from 粤菜 Cantonese, 川菜 Sichuan, 湘菜 Hunan cuisine; maybe around 50 or more dishes to choose from! The dishes comes in a steel bowl with rm$4 to rm$10 per bowl. A meal of 雜飯 mixed rice here would set you back from rm$20 to rm$30 depending on choice of the dishes, it is self-service here.
Sharing would probably be cheaper as 3 steel bowl dishes are good for 2 person and maybe 4-5 bowls are good for 3-4 person. ALL dishes are sealed, and so it is more hygienic compared to the typical Chinese mixed rice shop. Another difference is unlike "Zhap fan" shops, there are no free "唐茶 Tong Cha" or 例湯 Soup of the day here.
The rm$8 "口水雞 Mouth watering Chicken" is from the "川菜 Sichuan" region of China; or called "口水雞 Kou Shui Ji", literally means "Salivating Chicken", a spicy dish. The original "口水雞 Kou Shui Ji" dish is served cold and all the components can be prepared ahead of time, so the final touch is to dress the chicken with the sauce and garnish just before the dish is served. This dish is supposed to present all the savory elements of sweet, sour, bitter and spicy flavor.
The rm$6 "酸豆角肉末 Fried picked beans w/Minced Meat" is from the "湘菜 Xiang Cai" of 湖南菜 Hunan Region in China. Hunan food is characterized by its hot and sour flavor, fresh aroma, greasiness, deep color, and the prominence of the main flavor in each dish, as demonstrated with the dish today which is greasy and sour in flavor.
