Thoughts: Just a stone throw away from Petaling Jaya's Damansaara Utama is the TTDI township at the border between KL and Selangor; here, the parking coupons have to be DBKL! On Monday's, I believe only one Chinese Kopitiam opens early (many shops closed on Mondays anyway). Shop lots in TTDI seems quite narrow, although a corner shop lot; it already maximized itself with 7 hawker stalls offering I think 10 hawker style food (Pork ball noodle, Seafood mee, Porridge, Asam Laksa, Pan Mee, Fish head noodle, Yong Tau Fu, WanTan Mee, Chicken Rice and Mixed Rice)
Opted for Yong Tau Fu and Chee Cheong Fun at rm$1.10/pc, the same stall also offers Wan Ton Mee (with Charsiew). Although perhaps most of the Yong Tau Fu choices are not home-made, the chef was all smiles greeting every customer, very friendly guy. Yong Tau Fu choices are egg plant, tau fu pok, okra, fish ball, chili, fish cake, bitter gourd, fried wanton, few types of fu chuk as well as one choice of vege (I think bak choi), most of them are likely commercially procured.
Seats inside the shop a little congested but there are also tables on the walkways along the shops next to the kopitiam early in the morning. Ample parkings perhaps until before 8am+.
The Mixed Rice (Zhap Fan) stall is said to start bringing out dishes starting 9:30am and with over 50 dishes to choose from; its definitely good for an early or late lunch until around 3pm. Perhaps nothing too fancy here in this kopitiam but with 10-12 choices of hawker style food, its a good enough breakfast/lunch spot for those working or residents nearby.
