Thoughts: Risotto is a northern Italian rice dish cooked with broth until it reaches a creamy consistency. The broth can be derived from meat, fish, or vegetables. Many types of risotto contain butter, onion, white wine, and parmesan cheese. It is one of the most common ways of cooking rice in Italy (Wikipedia).
The Owls Cafes's "Pumpkin Risotto w/Bacon" was cooked with asparagus bits, topped with crunchy beef bacon bits, 火箭菜 wild rockets and 帕馬森乾酪 Parmesan cheese. For me, its a wild combination of taste; the pungent taste (kind of bitter as well) of the wild rockets plus "for me" stinging taste of the Parmesan cheese, coupled with smoky bites of the addictive crunchy bacons (wish the plate came with more of these) and when eating them together with the very interesting Italian yellow creamy rice broth cooked with tiny green asparagus bits; its a surprising combinations in the palate.
UEP Subang Jaya's "The Owls Cafe" is located at One Space USJ25 (the inner most 3rd block away from the main road at One City). The Cafe is obviously decorated with Owls themes and served by a team of friendly young staffs. The menu are western including pasta, mains, waffles, and some unique coffee and beverages, also desserts and bakes. The Owls Cafe have 2 outlets in Bukit Jalil, 1 in Ikea Cheras, and today I am at the USJ25 outlet. One of its outlet is in the Bukit Jalil's Calvary Convention Centre which is called "New Chapter" while the one in Ikea Cheras is called "Midorie"!
From the linked underground paid parking, you can access to the Cafe or park otherwise in the limited MPSJ parking spaces at the ground level. Evening/night time MPSJ parkings are free but its limited and very few street lights. Getting to the ground level parking at One Space can be quite confusing, best to come in from Jalan Harmoni from USJ26. This One City Block called "One Space" seems quite empty with only few tenants taking up the shop lots. USJ25's "The Owls Cafe" is worth another visit in the future!
