Thoughts: Penang's Armenian Street (Lebuh Armenian) is a historic, vibrant lane in George Town's UNESCO World Heritage area known for its beautifully restored shophouses, multicultural atmosphere, art galleries, boutiques, Peranakan food, and famous street art, named for Armenian traders who settled there in the 19th century, with notable spots like the Sun Yat Sen Museum. One of the budget hotel here is this Armenian House by IIP. 

The George Town hotel is about 13 miles from Penang International airport and only 0.7 miles from such cultural venues as Rainbow Skywalk at Komtar Bridge. Standing merely 14 minutes by foot from Chew Jetty, the Armenian House By Iip George Town is a short way from Upside Down Museum. Watsons Shopping Mall also lies a mere 0.8 miles away. The property is approximately 10 minutes by foot from Masjid Kapitan Keling bus station. 

Armenian House by IIP is a little unique as the ground floor houses a chocolate shop (Beryl's, or a similar local brand) on its ground floor, capitalizing on the historic building's charm to sell Malaysian chocolates. The Hotel reception desk is all the way at the back of the chocolate shop, where also the staircase leading to upper levels (2 floors) of rooms.
