Thoughts: Early mid-June this year, previously known as Kakigori has changed its brand name to カキ氷 Kakiyuki ... According to its official website, the name change is because Kakigori is a generic name in Japanese for shaved ice desserts flavored with syrup and a sweetener, often condensed milk; and to so as not confused the company's brand name to it, it decided to change to Kakiyuki to prevent confusion within the market segment!
my last visit to Kakigori (which is their first location in Malaysia) was at its PJ Paramount branch, on August 8, 2018, where I sampled the 宇治抹茶 Uji Matcha Kakigori. Rather than shaved Ice (Kakigori), I am having assorted "Mochi" called 大福甜点 Daifuku is a Japanese confection consisting of a small round mochi stuffed with sweet filling, like sweetened red bean paste or other varieties of fillings. This type of Japanese desserts has a long history that dates back to the 江戸時代 Edo Period of the 17th Century.
My assortment of Mochi is called "Artisan Daifuku Set" which consist of 6 types of Mochi:
