Thoughts: Previous visit to Naughty Nuri's was way back on 21.10.2016; but that's at KL's Life Centre. The meal was an interesting "参巴鱿鱼 Sambal Baby Cumi-Cumi", its a Balinese dish. Naughty Nuri currently has 4 outlets: KL Life Centre & Sri Hartamas, PJ Atria, and SS15. Today, I'm at its SS15's branch for lunch!
Sampling 2 porky menu items: 招牌烤猪肉沙拉 Signature Roast Pork Salad and 烧烤沙爹猪肉串 BBQ Satay Lilit. The "招牌烤猪肉沙拉 Signature Roast Pork Salad" was in my opinion, an unconventional combination of roasted pork with vegetables and fruits, topped an egg and salad dressings; the concoction wasn't too bad. However, the Balinese "烧烤沙爹猪肉串 BBQ Satay Lilit" was definitely my liking; instead of the familiar satay in a simple stick, the Satay Lilit uses Lemongrass as its handle. Satay Lilit or "Sate Lilit" is a satay variant originating from Balinese cuisine.
As a Hindu majority island, the Balinese authentic version prefer pork and fish over other meat, as beef is originally seldom consumed in Bali. The stick is then mixed with grated coconut, thick coconut milk, lemon juice, shallots, and pepper. The spiced minced meat is wound around bamboo, sugar cane or lemongrass sticks, it is then grilled on charcoal. Worth mentioning was the spicy black sauce that comes with the Satay!
Naughty Nuri offers lots of porky options for lunch and dinner. The restaurant also offers a variety of alcohol beverages; from whisky, cocktail, vodka, gin etc to wine and beers on tap! If you like pork and booze, this is definitely a place to be starting from 11am everyday!
Forget about MPSJ parking in SS15, as the Subang SS15 Courtyard provides a Basement parking as well as Upper level multi-level parkings, at an affordable rm$1/hour basis.
