Thoughts: Peppercorn Cafe, located right in the middle of the much talked-about SS15's "Bubble Tea Street" where even before the bubble-tea shops open their shop, customers are already queuing up for the cup of bubble tea to start their day. Parking is more than challenging after 11am and all the way to 9-10pm, alternative parking is the multi-storey paid parking complex next to the SS15 wet market which is just less than 2-3 minutes walk from Peppercorn Cafe.
The Cafe opens only for breakfast and lunch except that Friday and Saturdays also offers a dinner menu. What's offered here are primary western; including western breakfast, waffles, pancakes, that's for the breakfast menu. Lunch menu are chicken, salad, steaks, pasta, seafood, asian delights, pizza, burger, snacks, and appetizers.
Interestingly, Peppercorn Cafe has been in SS15 for around 25 years with the current owner taken over the business from her best friend 15 years ago! The Cafe is all interiors seatings only, fully air-conditioned and a visible kitchen at the back (with glass partitioned) and Americana posters on its interior walls.
Its big breakfast today, there is a rm$12 variant and rm$18 variant, I chose the "bigger one" with sausage and beef bacon plus an omelette, the plate also comes with hash brown, sauteed mushroom, grilled tomato, whole meal toast with butter and jam plus some salad on the side. The set also comes with either coffee or tea. While the rest of whats on the plate was quite standard but worth mentioning is the excellent 法式蛋券/欧姆蛋 a classic french omelette, smooth silky exterior with no browning that wraps around a tender, moist, soft-scrambled interior.
