Thoughts: The little stall in a tri-cycle push-cart parked in front of the entrance to 冠记 Koon Kee Wan Ton Mee, I guess it only open for business an hour or so before noon as it wasn't there when I had the Wan Ton Mee at Koon Kee around 10am+. The chef and owner, Uncle Ah Loy has been making Apam Balik on the same spot for over 30+years in China Town.
There are 2 types of Apam Balik sold there: The crispy apam balik filled with generous amount of crushed peanuts, and the thicker/softer Penang style apam balik filled with grated coconut; each costs rm$1/pc (a little expensive but what the heck), I do think it taste pretty good. And especially like the Penang Apam Balik!
