Thoughts: Subang Jaya began development in 1974/76s, the new township did not receive too much attention in the beginning! It is not until 1998 that Subang Parade was officially opened as the first shopping mall in Subang Jaya. It has a long history and still a popular destination for residents nearby, with many restaurants (a mixture of chinese, malay, japanese, malay and western options of halal and non-halal) and shopping options.
One of the options of hawker food varieties (all halal) are in its "Good Garden" food garden, located at its ground floor, next to Parkson. Here, inside the food court; you can find "Ah Cheng Laksa", and even Kenny Rorgers! Perhaps, a must try is Hayaki Cafe/Kopitiam which offers East Coast cuisine of Nasi Kukus and Nasi Kerabu with choices of chicken or fish! The "Set Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik" costs rm$16.90, comes with a while leg grilled chicken (either Percek or the sweeter "Madu" option); accompanying the blue rice are crackers, ulam (raw vegetables), and salted egg plus spicy sambal as well as the less spicy ayam percek sauce! Very likable combinations, a satisfying lunch!
