Thoughts: Manly in Sydney, is more like a tourist town; and more so during summer time. It is famed as a surfing spot, laid back pubs, and oceanfront walks. After a long walk along the oceanfront, stumbled on this coffee shop and settled on an Australian Flat White.
There is an interesting story about the origins of "Flat White" Coffee! It was said that coffee culture was brought to Australia by the Italians during World War II. But "Flat White" was claimed to be either an Australian or New Zealand "invention" in the 1980s; it is perhaps something of between Cupuccino and Latte. Nevertheless, Wikipedia's definition of Flat White is "actually identical to a Latte, except the serving size and format”. The Coffee Barista here said that a Flat White is about 1/3 coffee plus 2/3 boiled milk with a little swirling foams!
