Thoughts: Althought it is part of Temple Street, but you shoud alight at MTR Yau Ma Tei station and I think best Exit C which is then short walking distance to this very local 大排档 Hong Kogn street side food stall! The recommendation by Hong Kong locals for 煲仔飯 are at Yau Ma Tei (there are some near the 果欄 Fruit Market area in the evening), but I found a few here near Temple Street shrot distance from the MTR Exit C.
生記菜館 Sheng Ji Restaurant offers more than 15 choices of 煲仔飯 Claypot Rice with Fish/Chicken/Duck/Beef. The restaurant also offers seafood like Mantis shrimp, Oyster omelette and beer as side dishes. My choice of the Claypot chicken rice with "Wax meat" 潤腸 and chicken was excellent (very different from KL style claypot), but Oyster omelette was really very oily.
There are many choices of 煲仔飯 restaurants here in Yau Ma Tei, definitely worth while re-visiting this location.
