Food Thoughts: There are 2 ABC Bistro in Brickfields; one facing the main road Jalan Tun Sambathan called ABC Bistro (just beside the escalator going up to MRT KL Sentral). This one I am visiting is called ABC One Bistro which is behind ABC Bistro but on Jalan Thambipillay. I asked to verify if its the same shop despite the slightly different names. But judging from the menu, both offer similar choices.
I already had Wan Ton Mee for breakfast, so I tried their Vade and "Cow milk" Teh Tarik for dessert. Vade is a fried snack from india, shaped much like a doughnut. (According to Wikipedia, Vade (or Vadai) was popular among ancient Tamils during 100 BCE-300 CE. A type of vade is mentioned as "vataka" in Manasollasa, a 12th-century Sanskrit encyclopedia compiled by Someshvara III, who ruled from present-day Karnataka. In this recipe, green beans are soaked, de-skinned, and ground to a paste.)
I like the Vade at ABC One Bistro, it is not just flour but packed with spices and seems also curry leafs. However, the "Premium Tea SusuLembu" at $3.80 is not desirable. The one at USJ 9's Nirvana still provides a much better glass of Susu Lembu Teh Tarik!
Review: 6 / 10 👍😋
