Both 南香 Nam Heong and 棠記兄弟餅家 Tong Kee are legendary Malaysian bakery brands, but they target slightly different taste profiles. Nam Heong offers a buttery, more aromatic pastry with a rich filling, while Tong Kee is celebrated for its traditional, lard-based flaky layers and wobblier, eggier custard.
